County Overview

There is no other place in the United States quite like the Curry Coast. We are the West Coast’ Best Coast because our entire Pacific Ocean shoreline is public, is bordered with scenic viewpoints and parks, and is famous for its sea stacks, natural bridges, whale watching and sunsets. An attraction to surfers and kite enthusiasts, dog lovers and horse riders, young and old, risk takers and bird watchers, the sand and the waves are a draw to both active and calm souls.

We are also known as America’s Wild Rivers Coast due to the number of scenic and wild rivers—more than any other county in Oregon. These rivers are ideal for kayaking, canoeing, rafting, fishing, and general sight-seeing. You can travel past wildlife and paddle through canyons. It is an opportunity to feel one with nature, especially the further east you travel on the rivers. A sense of peace transcends and the spirit is refreshed.

The Curry Coast is more than ocean and rivers though. A mountainous region, almost two-thirds of the county is public forestland offering hiking, mountain biking, tower climbing and camping. Within a half hour’s drive of the Redwoods and famous golf courses, staying on the Curry Coast allows for easy access to popular attractions just beyond the Curry Coast borders.

Escape. Escape city life. Escape the mundane. Escape your old self and become new.
Escape, grow your business here, and stay as long as you want.

The Curry Coast is inviting you to be happy and at peace. It’s time.
