County Overview

There is no other place in the United States quite like the Curry Coast. We are the West Coast’ Best Coast with our entire Pacific Ocean public shoreline bordered with scenic viewpoints and parks. Curry County is famous for its sea stacks, natural bridges, whale watching and sunsets. Folks find this place to be unique, restful, and opportunity laden.

We are also known as America’s Wild Rivers Coast due to the number of scenic and wild rivers—more than any other county in Oregon. These rivers are ideal for kayaking, canoeing, rafting, fishing, and general sight-seeing. You can travel past wildlife and paddle through canyons. It is an opportunity to feel one with nature, especially the further east you travel on the rivers.

The Curry Coast is more than ocean and rivers though. A mountainous region, almost two-thirds of the county is public forestland offering hiking, mountain biking, tower climbing and camping. Within a half hour’s drive of the Redwoods and famous golf courses, staying on the Curry Coast allows for easy access to popular attractions just beyond the Curry Coast borders.

Whether you come for a visit, wish to bring your business or just start anew here, Curry County offers wonderful opportunities for unique and exciting adventures.
