County Overview

There is no other place in the United States  like Curry County.  Our Pacific Ocean public shoreline is bordered with scenic viewpoints and parks, sea stacks, natural bridges, whale watching and sunsets. Countless opportunities are available for restful yet exciting recreation hours in all parts of Curry County.

Curry County is also  a part of the Wild Rivers Coast due to it's number of scenic and wild rivers—more than any other county in Oregon. These rivers are ideal for kayaking, canoeing, rafting, fishing, and general sight-seeing. You can travel past wildlife and paddle the rivers through canyons. Feeling one with nature is a part of the Curry County experience.

Curry County is a mountainous region with  almost two-thirds of the county area in public forestland, parks and trails managed by Oregon State Parks, the Bureau of Land Management, the National Forest Service, Curry County and multiple private vendors. Among other adventures, Curry County offers hiking, mountain biking, tower climbing and camping. Within thirty minutes you can drive to the California Redwoods and Bandon Dunes Golf Course beyond the Curry County borders.

Whether you come for a visit, wish to bring your business or just start anew here, Curry County offers wonderful opportunities for unique and exciting adventures.
